The London Shoe Show returned to the ever-popular Copthorne Tara Hotel Kensington back in February for two successful days!

etailers, buyers and merchandisers from across the footwear and fashion industry returned to the ever-popular Copthorne Tara Hotel Kensington on 11-12 February for the Winter edition of the London Shoe Show (LSS).


Spread across three huge rooms, the event played host to hundreds of brands all coming together in the capital city to network and do business – and of course to show off their latest collections for upcoming seasons. LSS is a must-attend event for anyone in the footwear business; independent retailers, large and small, from across the fashion and footwear sectors flocked to the Copthorne Tara in the heart of classy Kensington to ensure they secured one-on-one time with their favourite brands – to catch up and to make their orders for the rest of this year and into 2025. The relaxed nature of the event, and the long-term relationship with the hotel venue, allows Footwear Today (the organiser of LSS) to flex the needs of everyone involved so no appointments are missed!

Premium European footwear brands showcased their latest styles – covering ladies’, men’s and children’s shoes. Just some of the brands on show included: Bagatt, Caprice, Carmela and XTI, Easy Spirit, El Naturalista, Ganter, Hassia, HB Shoes, Jana, Jewn, Joya, Legero, Marco Tozzi, Mephisto, NeroGiardini, Regarde Le Ciel, ShoeString and Tamaris.


Justin Morgan from HB Shoes told Footwear Today: “The London Shoe Show will continue to be a vital part of our selling and buying for the seasons ahead. As a supplier, we have customers who rely on the London show having something different from the mainstream UK shows. It is a show to experience the diversity and individuality that Milan offers, only on our doorstep.


“Many of our exclusive European manufacturers, which offer individual and bespoke products, use LSS to offer this type of product to the more discerning retailer. “There is also something special about London from a tourism and commercial perspective, so retailers can see what the capital is promoting to the fashion world, which they can translate for their own local communities.”


In addition, Caroline Sheppard, UK Agent for XTI and Carmela, said the timing of LSS meant customers had the chance to understand the trends, silhouettes and colours for the AW24 season – and were ready to do their buying.

“The latest show was a great success for my brands. I saw an increase in footfall and our positioning in the venue was excellent, being placed near other complementary footwear brands. I’m sure that visitor numbers to LSS will continue to go from strength to strength.” Rob Sewell, UK Agent for the Art, El Naturalista and Repo brands, commented: “Art and El Naturalista enjoyed another successful show in London with customers coming from as far as the Channel Islands and Scotland! The comfort systems and incredible pricing attracted new customers as well.” Charlotte Steadman, Event Manager for LSS, added: “This was our first event since taking over the show and we were really pleased to return to the Copthorne Tara Hotel – a venue which our exhibitors and our visitors all love.


“The quality of the retailers that attended was amazing and I know so many of the brands did a lot of great business over the two days, which is what this show is all about. “I hope everyone found the show useful and beneficial. And I look forward to seeing you all when we return to London on 8-9 September.”
