across a broad spectrum of water samples, from ultrapure water to wastewater and seawater, and can also evaluate nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations simultaneously with TOC in water for maximum efficiency. It is clear that water quality improvements


will be a key focus for the industry and the government in the coming years. The Environment Agency is already proposing new laws whereby water companies will be expected to contribute to wider environmental outcomes above and beyond their statutory duties, such as supporting habitat restoration and sustainable water management. Defra is also currently pursuing a 25-year


environmental strategy that aims to bring at least three-quarters of the UK’s waters back to or close to their natural state - an effort that will require the buy-in of the water and
