VERSATILE AND ROBUST METAL ENCLOSURES FOR COMMERCIAL USE
A range of IP66 metal enclosures that are adaptable, weatherproof and impact resistant has been launched by Legrand, for commercial and industrial applications. Designed to meet the needs of a variety of applications, from office buildings to shopping centres and even camp sites, the weatherproof metal enclosures come in a range of sizes and with plain and glass door options. Available in three formats; vertical, square and horizontal,
Atlantic IP66 enclosure feature a weatherproof seal and double bar lock as standard, ensuring effective closing and a watertight polyurethane seal. The enclosures also feature a reversible door, with easy to remove metal hinges and pins, as well as a high performance anti-corrosion coating to provide strength that is guaranteed to last. For easy access, the door has been designed to open to 130o
(180o options also available) and contains sectioned
uprights for greater rigidity, as well as making it much simpler to mount equipment and manage cables. Providing maximum usable space, the plain door version is
supplied with a removable plate making it easier to fix equipment directly, but these can also be replaced by a ready to use chassis or
perforated plates. For increased versatility, the enclosure can also be equipped with cable glands or a Cabstop plate – offering optimised cable entry and a minimum tensile resistance of 15kg, for ease of cable installation.

NEW HOLDING BRACKET FOR CUSTOMISABLE HANDHELD ENCLOSURES
A new vertical holding bracket has been added by Rolec to its range of accessories, available for its mobilCASE aluminium electronic enclosures. The new holder can be fitted to walls or machines and is moulded from black polyamide as standard. This range was designed primarily for handheld electronics (IP 65) –
instruments and controllers – but it can also be used for desktop and wall mounted applications (IP 54). Two versions are available – a one-part closed profile for rapid insertion
of PCBs or a two-part open profile for easy installation of components. Each case body is recessed on both sides to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label. These enclosures are available in three standard widths (80, 100, 130mm)
in six sizes ranging from 120 x 118 x 80mm to 240 x 168 x 130mm. Each case is manufactured from extruded aluminium (silver metallic powder coating) with diecast zinc alloy end covers (black RAL 9005 powder

coating). Two types of end cover are available. Accessories include the new
vertical holding bracket, battery holders (x2 or x4 AA cells), end covers, shoulder strap, desktop tilt stands, hinged brackets, an adaptor for fitting two enclosures together and a cable gland (M16). This range is easily customisable
because of the extruded construction. They can be CNC machined with, custom colours, anodising and printing.
