MS Electronics Ltd has available a new series of OLED displays. These OLED displays offer excellent


readability with high contrast and very wide viewing angle. Another unique feature is the very fast response time with temperature range from -40°C to +80°C. The EA OLEDL128- 6 displays are


available in six versions. The standard


version is EA OLED128-6LGA. Available in G (Yellow), B (Blue), W (White) and R (Red). The EA OLED128-6GGA has a special scratch, shock, and UV protective front glass. The EA OLED128-6NGA is supplied without polarizer, providing even greater brightness. This version is ideally used behind smoked glass. The module size is 67.8 x 47.9 mm with view area 64 x 37 mm. Interface is SPI and I2C with integrated SSD1309 controller. The connecting pins on the displays are a 2.54mm (0.1 in) pitch. Display can be soldered directly into the PCB or plugged into a socket. An analogue resistive touch-screen is available.

With a high measuring frequency up to 80 kHz and resolutions down to 0.003µm, the OD5000 promises consistent and reliable laser-based displacement measurement of coatings, deposits, gaps and glass layers. The OD5000 is part of SICK’s well-established


OD range of laser scanners, developed for high consistency and linearity in measurement results even at high production speeds. Thanks to the intelligent measurement filters incorporated in the OD5000’s firmware, virtually any surface or colour of object can be reliably measured.

That means reliable


measurement for thin/ultrathin glass substrates and layers, as well as for curved glass and surfaces. The 5µm light spot aids quick and precise ranging for set-up, and the easy-mount design facilitates rapid installation and commissioning. “Because the OD5000 can be configured using the SICK SOPAS web parameterisation software, measurement


quality can be optimised and tolerances adjusted during production to ensure a high degree of accuracy. The software’s innovative new menu structure enables easy visualisation and teach-in.” The OD5000 incorporates SICK proven IO-Link communications to enable set process parameters to be uploaded


and saved, making commissioning and device replacement swift and error-free. IO-Link also provides opportunities for enhanced data handling and diagnostics.


The choice of outputs includes switchable, scalable analogue (MA/V) and push-pull and the Ethernet interface is within the sensor head. The OD5000 is part of the SICK OD range of laser scanners, which represent a comprehensive selection of performance in electronics and solar application to suit measurement requirements.

New Series 61 emergency stop switch compact

The product complies with the latest international standards. The robust mono-block design has a fool proof, trigger action mechanism to break the electrical contacts, and a green indication ring to show whether the switch is actuated. The optional high brightness central LED makes the product clearly visible, even in low light levels.


Each switch can have up to three individual normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) switch contacts, a 27 mm or 40 mm diameter lens and optional 24VDC LED illumination – all within a compact 21.2 mm back panel depth.

ORD DRIVESYSTEMS has expanded its range of high- efficiency smooth-surface motors. The new permanent-


magnet synchronous motors without cooling fins achieve level IE4 / super premium efficiency. This can greatly benefit the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, and other hygienically demanding applications. The efficient smooth-surface motors are suitable for use in dry areas as well as in applications requiring frequent cleaning. As they generate very little excess heat, they need no fans and therefore do not contribute to the spreading of germs. The IE4 or Super Premium Efficiency synchronous motors operate significantly more efficiently than induction motors, specifically in the partial load range. This results in substantially lower cost for energy consumption and lower TCO. The motors furthermore feature a particularly high power density and a very long product life. Frequency inverters can be mounted directly onto the motor or near the motor for perfect flexibility.
