hen buying an enclosure there are a number of hidden costs that

arise due to additional requirements, such as terminal blocks, cable glands, vent plugs, machining, panel mount fuses, neoprene gaskets and label fitting. An electrical services company needs to source these parts and find relatively skilled labour to assemble the enclosures, often to strict quality procedures.

rv

To help alleviate these costs, Optimas Components offers a sub-assembly service for enclosures, delivering a single part that is assembled to requirement and procedure. All individual parts are provided by Optimas Components, even from third party sources if necessary, and assembled to provide a single part number, removing the complexity of multi-part ordering, monitoring, assembly and s econdary production processes. A key benefit of the sub-assembly service is that you receive a single part with a single order number, without the need to concern yourself with assembly, machining or pre-processing, thus simplifying shipping and reducing lead

times. The service ideally suits low to high volumes, with a minimum for a basic sub-assembly being around 50. Optimas Components introduced this service when it was realised just how much savings could be made for

customers if the company took on the assembly instead of the customer. This proj
