OKW’s New SOLID-BOX Plastic Enclosures For Industrial Electronics
OKW has launched robust new SOLID-BOX plastic enclosures for portable and wall-mounted electronics in challenging industrial and outdoor locations. With IK 08 impact protection, these IP 66/IP 67 sealed enclosures are ideal for a wide range of industrial electronics applications.
SOLID-BOX has flush-fitting snap-on trims which conceal all the assembly screws. The enclosures can be installed ‘lid closed’ – pro- tecting the seal and electronics.
A large membrane keypad, or product label, can be located in the top. The bottom section has two deeply recessed areas to protect connectors, switches etc. Inside, there are fastening pillars for PCBs and DIN rails.
SOLID-BOX is available in three sizes: 135 x 115 x 50 mm, 180 x 145 x 60 mm and 225 x 175 x 70 mm. Mounting points on the rear of the two larger sizes match the hole patterns of VESA MIS-D 75/100 for easy mounting.
The enclosures are moulded from tough PC+ABS-FR (UL 94 V-0). They are available in anthracite or light grey as standard. A wide range of accessories is also available.

With 12 Bit and 2 GSa/sec.: The New RIGOL DHO1000 Oscilloscope Series
RIGOL Technologies EU GmbH has integrated the two brand new self-developed Centaurus ASIC chips into the new 12 bit DHO1000 series. This series combines very high quality with an outstanding price/ performance ratio and offers the user a variety of functions, such as the Ultra Acquire Mode. With these digital high-resolution
oscilloscopes, a professional solution is coming onto the market that fits perfectly into the budget without making any compromises. The DHO1000 series has a sampling rate of 2 GSa/s and is offered as a 2-channel as well as a 4-channel solution in bandwidths of 70, 100 and 200 MHz. The maximum memory depth is 100 Mpts. The minimum vertical adjustment is 500 µV/DIV for the DHO1000 series, so that even small signals can be measured. The two new ASICs achieve a very low

noise level of 50 µVrms for DHO1000. As with other RIGOL oscilloscope classes, the focus here was on the combination of high sampling rate, deep memory and very high measurement speed. Even the smallest amplitude deviations can be measured thanks to the vertical resolution of 12 bits. A high-resolution mode of up to 16 bits can also be activated. This means that very high resolutions in both the horizontal and vertical areas are combined with a very deep memory, thus expanding the variety of analysis. Typical applications include analysis such as switching performance measurements in the power domain, automated tests in factories, protocol analysis for serial buses in vehicle electronics, electronic circuit measurements, applications in development and many more. With Ultra Acquire, RIGOL has integrated a new form of analysis, with which a very fast trigger rate of 1,500 million wfms/sec. is reached. With this, very fast or sporadic and short events can be easily measured and displayed in different ways (e.g. waterfall, mosaic or superimposed) in order to be able to show undesired signal components optimally. Ultra Acquire can also be linked to the recording, analysis and navigation functions in order to take a look at the signal components for detailed analysis.
