Stephen, you’re the QC manager in Amalfi Trading, tell me more about your background and how you became QC manager.
Having a strong background and education in the information and electrical fields,
working at Amalfi Trading came naturally. With the exciting and ever-changing nature of the industry, it always gives a chance to learn and develop new processes, with goals of making the entire supply chain more efficient.
After many years in the logistics department, receiving and learning the product, the industry required a greater need to increase quality control. Through more detailed quality inspections as well as increasing record retention, we have implemented a detailed algorithm for verifying and inspecting all products in our operations.
So, do you inspect all incoming products? Which kind of quality check do you perform?
Each order is meticulously inspected through multiple visual inspection points and confirmed against any datasheets, drawings or change notifications. While taking extra steps to confirm traceability and maintain record retention, we have complied a large library of knowledge to help continue our future of maintaining exceptional quality and unparalleled relationships throughout our supply chain. Through this record retention, as well as having access to a vast database of industry specifications, we have been able to make the most informed and educated decisions while performing quality inspections.
