CUI Devices Expands USB Type C Connectors Line with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Models
CUI Devices’ Interconnect Group today announced the addition of USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type C models to its line of USB Connectors. Offer- ing high data transfer speeds up to 20 Gbps, the UJ32 family of USB Type C connectors is a more cost-effective option for designs that do not require the full capabilities of the USB4 40 Gbps standard. The models also deliver power capabilities up to 100 W with 20 V voltage ratings and 5 A current ratings for faster power charging. With the EU set to make USB Type C the unified charger for mobile devices in 2024 and laptops in 2026, CUI Devices’ USB Type C con- nectors are aimed at keeping future designs in compliance. Housed in surface mount or mid mount SMT packages with horizontal or vertical orientations, CUI Devices’ USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type C connect- ors feature gold flash contacts and operating temperature ranges

from -40 to 85°C. These USB Type C receptacles are reflow solder compatible with high reliability ratings up to 10,000 mating cycles. The UJ32-C-H-G-SMT-TR-68 also carries an IP68 rating for applica- tions dealing with harsh environments.
IPS displays on Raspberry Zero
DISPLAY VISIONS allows for easy connection of small dis- plays directly to the Raspberry Pi Zero. All monitor outputs from the small computer are automatically redirected to an high-quality industrial grade IPS display. As a result, individual, compact applications are able to produce output on a small colour display. Furthermore, inputs are even possible, including through a touch panel inte- grated into the display. The programming language for applications is Python or C, as is typical for Raspberry. The RaZeroTFT starter package consists of an interface board and a suitable 1.5”, 2”, 2.8” or 3.5” display. The displays are equipped with a capacitive touch panel, with the excep- tion of the smallest display. At 1,000 cd/m², the displays are extremely bright and easy to read. Thanks to IPS technol- ogy, they provide brilliant colours in all viewing directions. An SD card with the appropriate files for the Raspberry Zero is also included in the scope of delivery. The displays are therefore ready to run immediately and start a slide show with drawing function for the touch panel after the Linux boot process. The interface board can be separated into two parts, making it possible to later install the display a piece away from the Raspberry Zero in the application.

More Options For ROLEC’s taraSMART Modular Suspension Arm System
ROLEC has added more components to its taraSMART (IP 54) range of modular suspension arms. Users can now configure their perfect support arm from a choice of 22 different components.
Tough, stylish taraSMART supports displays, panel PCs and HMI enclosures weighing up to 45 kg. The range offer an attractive price point. Applications include smart factory automation, modern machine control systems, robotics, process automation and information stations.
Users can configure taraSMART arms quickly, easily and cost- effectively thanks to their simple design. There is a choice of either round or rectangular profiles. Both offer plenty of space for cables and HDMI, DVI and USB connectors.
The taraSMART range now features: four couplings and two adapters (VESA and Siemens); five joints, two elbows and a base; eight support profiles in lengths up to 1,000 mm. The round profiles are ideal for mounting enclosures from Siemens, Beckhoff and B&R. Set screws enable adjustment of the assembled arm. Customising is available.
