SWITCHES, DISPLAYS & UIS FEATURE

AT THE CONTROLS Introducing the PanelPilot range of graphic displays C

oding interfaces to any tailored needs can be time-consuming, particularly within time dependent electronics markets. Lascar offers a possible solution: with its PanelPilot range of smart graphic displays, the company looks

to remove coding as a time defect. Applicable to both simple and complex uses (HMIs in particular), the PanelPilotACE is available in 4.3 inch and 7.0 inch versions. Defining it further, it features tools such as PID, maths and logic builders, multi-channel data logging and graphing, accepting inputs such as 4-20mA analogue, direct digital I/O, RS485 and MODBUS. Further to this, PanelPilot also launches its M series, a range of customisable panel meters featuring colour touch screen displays, dual analogue inputs and alarm outputs. The range includes versions suitable for measuring voltage or 4-20mA current inputs. Screen sizes available are 2.4 inches, 2.8 inches and 3.5 inches. Configured using the free PanelPilot M software, there are over 50 app templates available including bar graph, tank level, analogue style and trend graphs. Users can customise colours, text labels, units and input scaling, and are able to set a custom splash screen before uploading to the display through USB. The most recent addition to the PanelPilot family is the SGD 21-B, the first in the new B-series. This is a low cost, low power, sunlight readable, single channel voltmeter with a monochrome e-paper display. Modest power requirements suggest its best use might be in battery powered, handheld instruments. The unit is configured with the free PanelPilot B software, which provides six templates to choose from for the customisation of labels, input scaling and alarms.
