Miniature SMD test terminals from Nicomatic enable repeated use & suit wide range of probes
N
icomatic, the leading manufacturer of high-performance interconnect solutions, now has available a range of surface mount test terminals that can be used to
attach a large range of test or oscilloscope probes to test zones on PCBs. Miniature C12000 series devices present a mechanical test hook interface on the SMD PCB which enables the operator to clip a test probe from a test rig or oscilloscope to the PCB. Measuring just 2.5 x 1.3 x 1.5mm, the devices can be used separately or by
comparison with another. Compared to parts available on the market, the Nicomatic series C12000 test terminals have a larger surface for efficient soldering onto PCBs. They are also less prone to oxidation thanks to pure tin bright tin plating with nickel under layer. Therefore, repeated testing can be securely performed, thanks to better material hardness Commented Phil McDavitt, General Manager, Nicomatic Ltd: “The C12000 surface
mount test terminals deliver substantial savings over traditional pins as no PCB piercing is required. Hole plating and secondary manual assembly operations are also eliminated. for SOT08-05 parts. No special compartment is necessary on auto-place production equipment.
