Robafoam’s main focus is its Contract Gasketing service which applies high-performance foam seals directly to customer parts. The flexibility of its 6-axis robot systems, combined with its foam application technology, means the company can seal one-off prototypes through to high-volume production quantities. Robafoam equipment can adjust the foam hardness being applied to the part by controlling the ratio of material to air to create the closed-cell bubble structure. Changing robot speeds and flow rates means it can vary bead width from 1.5mm to 20mm and above. It has a heat curing option to rapidly cure the material (at 80˚C) within two to eight minutes. Robafoam’s other core business is the manufacture of 1K foam
application systems to apply 3D foam seals that can be incorporated within the customer’s production line. Once the equipment is manufactured and integrated, the company also offers a technical service to support sealing demands from concept design to full production integration.
