INDUSTRY NEWS CAMDENBOSS DEMONSTRATES ITS COMMITMENT TO UK MANUFACTURING
CamdenBoss has unveiled its investment in state-of- the-art injection moulding technology, marking its
commitment to UK manufacturing and providing a more resilient supply chain to their customers. According to the company, this investment
follows its move in 2021 to the Galaxy Building in Mildenhall, Suffolk, where design, warehousing and manufacturing operations are co-located to meet its customers’ requirements across electro-mechanical components, flat sheet plastic custom enclosures and now injection moulded enclosures. The company selected the latest electric
Arburg equipment which, along with its recent investment in solar power and reduced transport mileage by manufacturing on-site, significantly reduces the carbon footprint of its operations and accelerates CamdenBoss’ transition to net zero. Katy Davies, managing director of
CamdenBoss, said, “CamdenBoss has been APPLIED AUTOMATION SIGNS SOLE UK DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH SPIN ROBOTICS
Applied Automation has signed a sole UK distribution agreement with Danish collaborative robotics specialists, Spin Robotics. Spin Robotics has developed affordable and easy to use plug-n-produce, end-of-
arm, screwdriving tools for assembly applications using collaborative robots. David Rowe, managing director of Applied Automation, commented: “We are
proud and delighted to be appointed as the sole UK Distributor for Spin Robotics. The projected growth of collaborative robots is set to surge and a major benefit for companies is their ROI efficiency. Adding a screwdriving system fits really well with our existing collaborative and industrial robot portfolio offerings.” Kristoffer Hansen, chief sales officer from Spin Robotics, added: “We are seeing
a high demand for our product in the UK market. For some time, we have been looking to appoint a sole distributor in the UK; one that shares our ethos and has the level of technical knowledge to support our end users locally. We believe we’ve found this in Applied Automation.”
T: 02920 494551 PRINCEPS RENEWS AS6081 CERTIFICATION
Princeps has received renewed AS6081 accreditation following its relocation. The AS6081 standard was created in response to a significant and increasing
volume of fraudulent or counterfeit electronic parts entering the supply chain. It standardises practices to identify reliable sources, mitigate the risk of distributing fraudulent or counterfeit parts, and control and report those suspect or confirmed items to the relevant authorities and potential users. David Nash, sales director, said: “The risks that counterfeit or fraudulent
electronic components pose cannot be underestimated, and this continues to be a significant and increasing problem to procurement managers.”

committed to repatriating its injection moulding to the UK for several years, and this investment takes us to the next level of producing as much as possible as locally as possible to support our growing customer base efficiently, effectively and with greater resilience. It also allows us to develop the skills of our people through apprenticeships while cementing our commitment to reducing our environmental impact.” James Buckle, owner of Heathpatch, said:
“The investment in the latest technology is a very important and exciting development for CamdenBoss, which clearly demonstrates our commitment to delivering for our customers, to manufacturing in the UK, contributing to upskilling our local workforce and reducing our carbon footprint.”

FIBOX ENCLOSURES PROTECT TELEMETRY HUBS ON-BOARD SEA-GOING VESSELS
Two years ago, a major international manufacturer and installer of security cameras and lighting chose Fibox ARCA IEC polycarbonate cabinet enclosures to house vital telemetry hubs on-board sea-going vessels. The system was a complete CCTV installation with the Fibox ARCA IEC being located on the viewing deck of individual ships. Over the two years the Fibox ARCA
IEC cabinets were continuously exposed to high levels of UV light, salt laden air, saltwater spray and gale-force winds. Painted Mild steel enclosures would have succumbed to corrosion long ago, whereas the Fibox ARCA IEC continue to perform impeccably. On-board ship CCTV cameras provide on-going surveillance,
ensuring increased safety and security to people and equipment. They help to deter crime and will provide footage to investigators should a crime take place. In addition, CCTV visual cameras can monitor a vessel’s navigation along with monitoring boarding and vital operations such as berthing and unberthing. For over thirty years, Fibox has manufactured a broad range of
non-metallic electrical enclosures which enjoy a distinguished history of sustainability and reliability. Whilst they feature a practical Scandinavian aesthetic, Fibox electrical enclosures are proven to protect vital electrical and electronic equipment in harsh environments throughout the world.
