Rings and C Rings, after many years of growth and success the decision was made in 2012 to manufacture "in house" and since then the company has continued to expand and establish a superb reputation within the industry, focusing primarily on the Oil/Gas & Energy sectors but having a strong foothold in Hydraulics, Marine, Machine Tools, Food, Motorsport, Semi- Conductor & MRO. MOONTOWN are proud to manufacture in the UK "From Powder to Part" having complete
control of all aspects of the seal manufacturing process and offer seals from 2mm > 2000mm from standard profiles or to your bespoke requirements. We offer a complete 3D CAD seal design service, on site PTFE billet production, in house spring winding, advanced CNC manufacturing process and EDM facilities for tool making. Our highly trained staff, facility and process make us the leading PTFE seal manufacturer in the UK. With no tooling or minimum quantities, we can satisfy any requirement from special "one offs" to production runs at the highest standards in a range of materials including those with NORSOK & FDA approvals at competitive pricing with deliveries to suit. We are particularly proud of our in-house PTFE Billet production capabilities and as such
can be relied upon to have complete control over production, quality and delivery lead time – we can react and adapt with our client’s needs, crucial as down time can be extremely costly and inconvenient. All eight of our high-performance PEEK and PTFE materials suited for Sour Gas, Oil Production etc are approved and certified to the relevant NORSOK and API regulations. Aside from these we can offer one of the largest ranges of standard & performance PTFE materials in Europe from which our incredible range of Spring Energised Seals, Rotary Seals and Hydraulic Seals are produced with a superb range of springs, all wound and joined in house. Seal energisers can be supplied to suit standard or bespoke dimensions in NBR, HNBR, Silicone, EPDM or FPM. Elgiloy or Phynox energiser materials are approved to NACE MR0 175.
The next chapter of the MOONTOWN story started in 2020 with the introduction of our new
“FastSeal” service! As part of our expansion plans to invest further in equipment, personnel and training this machine means we can now manufacture virtually any seal in house > 600mm OD* in a vast range of standard and high-performance materials including NBR, FPM, POLYURETHANE, SILICONE, EPDM & POLYACETAL, PEEK & PTFE for Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Static or Dynamic applications. Alongside commercial, industrial material grades MOONTOWN also have a strong offering
catering to the Food, Dairy and Beverage industry with materials available with FDA, WRC & WRAS approvals including X Ray and Metal Detectable variants. MOONTOWN can advise upon suitable materials, seal profiles and offer a sample
