nergy and data transmission bundled in one cable: Hybrid technology is gaining acceptance with more and more drive manufacturers. Responding to this trend, igus has expanded its chainflex cable
portfolio with two new hybrid cables: Firstly, the CF280.UL.H401 with a PUR jacket suitable for the modular and compact drive system ctrlX DRIVE from Bosch Rexroth for synchronous servomotors of the MS2N series. Secondly, the proven hybrid cable for Siemens SINAMICS S210 drives is now offered with a PVC outer jacket. Hybrid technology is one of the biggest trends in the cable industry.
With over 30 different types, igus has the biggest portfolio of highly flexible hybrid cables that consists of two systems: the CF280. UL with PUR outer jacket and CF220. UL with PVC outer jacket. igus supplies two different jacket materials so that the correct material can be selected for different applications and external conditions. The oil-resistant PVC jacket is the ideal choice for energy chains used in
high cycle numbers in dry areas, for example, in woodworking machines, due to its high abrasion resistance. PVC is designed for ambient temperatures from 5˚C to 70˚C. The PUR material, on the other hand, has a very high notch resistance and oil resistance. This makes the halogen-free PUR cables suitable for use in energy chains with very high oil loads, for example in a machine tool. And these cables have an extended temperature range from -25˚C to +80˚C. The chainflex solutions are available from stock by the metre and are assembled and designed to meet well-known manufacturer standards.
morE soluTions for diffErEnT applicaTions Specifically, with the PUR hybrid cable CF280.UL.H401 for synchronous servo motors of the MS2N series, igus now has a product for the modular drive system ctrlX DRIVE from Bosch Rexroth. The new cable is suitable for applications with a bending factor of down
to 15xd and therefore suitable for use in many industries – from machine tools and material handling to the automotive industry. In addition, igus now also offers its hybrid cable as CF220 to match Siemens SINAMICS S210 drives – the UL.H304 with a PVC outer jacket. By using chainflex cables, users also save around 40% installation
space in the energy chain and 43% material weight compared to using individual servo- and measuring system cables. Thanks to the reduced weight that needs driving by the system, less energy is also consumed.
TEsTEd for millions of cyclEs for guaranTEEd rEsiliEncE From test results collected in the in-house laboratory in Cologne, the cable specialist can predict the service life of their cables. This data also flows into an online tool that allows customers to easily calculate the lifetime of their cables in the shortest possible time. igus, therefore, is the only cable manufacturer on the market to offer a warranty of up to 36-months on its entire cable range, providing customers additional security for planning their applications.

® spherical insert bearings function without lubrica-
tion, are cost effective and can easily be installed. Due to their corrosion resistance, these spherical insert bearings for metal pillow blocks and flange bearings can increase the operating life of your applications. These are ideal to use in dirty environments and can give up to eight times longer life than traditional ball bearings.
