CLAMP SIMPLIFIES CABLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM INSTALLATION
New from TTI is TE Connectivity’s P-shaped clamp. This has separate locking features and has been developed to simplify the installation of cable management systems and the subsequent fitting of cable harnesses. There are ten sizes available to cover the full range of 21 cable diameters defined in the AS21919 standard. The P-Clamp is made of two parts, moulded in a highly engineered PEEK material that matches the
strength of metal without the weight, and hinged together. The clamp can therefore be mounted to equipment earlier in the assembly process. A cable harness can then be run into place on the P-Clamp mounts and secured by swinging the locking mechanism into place. The ergonomic design of the locking mechanism means that no tools are needed to lock the two parts together, or to unlock the clamp to adjust the position of a cable harness. The P-Clamp is suitable for use in applications such as commercial aviation, military aerospace,
industrial, military and marine vehicles, as well as the rail and automotive sectors. TTI

Amphenol’s A Series of high-specification automotive connectors is now available from RS Components. These are reliable and heavy-duty sealed single- and multi-pin plastic and metal interconnection devices. Designed for any power or signal data applications
that require a ruggedised sealed connector, the sealing system comprises a front and rear silicone multi- sealing perimeter to prevent environmental ingress. Offering compatibility with Deutsch products, the series includes circular and rectangular connectors as
well as hybrid devices. The connectors offer from one to 47 contacts per device and can handle up to 100A per contact. The A Series also offers ease of installation, IP rated devices, high vibration resistance and a wide selection of options, including cable-to-cable connections, panel mounting and 180˚ straight and 90˚ right angle wire-to-board PCB connectors with or without flange.

Cliff Electronics has introduced FeedThrough (FT) and conventional connectors for mounting in the industry standard 24mm diameter XLR panel cut-out. With over 20 different connector types available, panel design and manufacture is simplified. New to AlphaWire’s EcoGen family of 100% recyclable wires and cables is Metric EcoWire. This is manufactured to sizes that are multiples of 0.25mm2
as opposed to AWG sizes. In metric applications, a 600V PVC
wire may be overly large, however Alpha Wire’s 600V Metric EcoWire is said to be up to 45% smaller and 40% lighter. Aerco has invested in a full stock package of all colours and sizes.
The standard reel sizes for the Metric EcoWire range are 50m, 100m and 500m. Sample lengths for evaluation are also available. EcoGen products are the new generation of
eco-friendly, high-performance, wire and cable designed to provide better performance, in a smaller package. These contain no halogens, phthalates or heavy metals and meet RoHS and WEE requirements.
