Cases & enclosures O

KW’s popular DATEC-TERMINAL plastic enclo- sures are now available with or without a separate terminal section.

Tough, stylish DATEC-TERMINAL is suitable for data collection, security and access control, measurement and control, HVAC, medical/wellness and point-of-sale devices.

A wide choice of lids and covers (accessories) adds IP 54 ingress protection and makes these ergonomic desktop and wall-mount enclosures highly versatile. The operating area is inclined by 20° for comfortable viewing and operation. It is recessed to protect a membrane keypad.

Quick assembly (with hidden fixings) offers easy access to components. The wall mountings are also concealed and feature removal protection. Inside the enclosures, there are fastening pillars for Eurocard PCBs.

DATEC-TERMINAL is moulded from ABS (UL 94 HB) in off-white (RAL 9002) as standard. There are four plan sizes: S (130 x 180 mm), SL (264 x 180 mm), M (168 x 272 mm) and L (302 x 272 mm). Sizes M and L feature a separate terminal section, which is created by adding either a flat or high lid (accessories).

Accessories also include ABS (UL 94 HB) or trans- parent PC (UL 94 V-0) flat or convex covers. There are also cover strips (in various colours), aluminium front panels, support plates and profile plates, and galva- nised steel wall suspension elements.

OKW can supply DATEC-TERMINAL fully customised. Services include machining, lacquering, printing, laser marking, decor foils, special materials, EMC shielding and installation/assembly of accessories.

IK/IP-RATED SOLID-BOX FOR INDUSTRIAL TOUCH SCREEN AND DISPLAY ELECTRONICS

ore electronics designers are specifying OKW’s tough SOLID-BOX to safeguard sensi- tive touch screens, control panels and displays in harsh

industrial environments.

IK 08 (impact) and IP 66/IP 67 (ingress) protection make SOLID-BOX suitable for plant and machine construction, HVAC, IoT/IIoT, Smart Factory/Industry 4.0, gateways, data loggers, ICT, electrical installa- tions, measurement/control, agriculture/farming, sensor systems and safety engineering. SOLID-BOX underlines its aesthetic credentials with a smart, highly polished finish. Flush-fit- ting snap-on trims hide tamperproof and

corrosion-resistant Torx fixing screws and captive lid screws. Separate screw channels enable ‘lid closed’ installation, protecting the seal and electronics. The gently bevelled lid has a large recess for a membrane keypad or product label. The bottom section has deep recesses on the long sides to protect connectors and interfaces. Internal fastening pillars support PCBs, mounting plates and DIN rails. SOLID-BOX is moulded from anthracite grey (RAL 7016) or light grey (RAL 7035) PC+ABS (UL 94 V-0), with increased heat resistance (Vicat/B 120 = 110°C) and chlorine-/bromine-free flame resist- ance. Custom colours are available on request. There are three sizes: 115 (135 x 115 x 50 mm), 145 (180 x 145 x 60 mm) and 175 (225 x 175 x 70

mm). Mounting points on the rear of sizes 145 and 175 match the hole patterns of VESA MIS-D 75/100. Accessories for SOLID-BOX include lid retainers, internal hinges, non-slip feet for desktop use, and self-tapping screws for PCBs or DIN rails. Compatible cable glands (M12 to M20) and cable bushings are also available.

OKW can supply SOLID-BOX fully customised. Services include CNC machining, printing and laser marking of logos and legends, decor foils, EMC shielding, and installation/assembly of accessories.
