Just as importantly we’ve maintained compatibility with our previous-generation EM flowmeters. Modularity also simplifies support, maintenance and troubleshooting since standardized components can be easily replaced or upgraded with minimal disruption. In the past with our six different EM models, we manufactured Made to Order (MTO). Once we received the order from our customer we placed orders on our sub vendors. Our On Time Delivery (OTD) was compromised if our sub vendors didn’t deliver in time. Now with our new modular platform we can now manufacture Made to Stock (MTS) with semi-finished top and bottom works in stock at our UK factory based in Stonehouse. Our OTD deliveries will be better, and we have already seen reduction in our quoted lead times.


The benefits of modularity of the EM electronics are enhanced as the electronics platform is the same as that in our other four wire flow technologies such as coriolis and thermal mass. These range from the same user experience and introduction of new connectivity options such as Power Over Ethernet (POE).
