he 2026 Instrumentation & Electronics Awards have entered an exciting new phase, with entries now officially closed and voting open across the relevant award categories. Following another strong year of submissions, the spotlight now turns to the industry, with engineers, manufacturers, suppliers and end users invited to help recognise the products, companies and individuals that have made the greatest impact over the past year. Following the successful unification of the Instrumentation Excellence Awards and the Electronics Industry Awards in 2025, the combined programme continues to grow in both scale and reputation. Building on last year’s success,
the 2026 awards feature an expanded range of categories that reflect both the established strengths of the instrumentation and electronics sectors and the rapid technological developments shaping their future.
The awards continue to celebrate innovation, technical excellence and commercial success across the industry, recognising achievements from component- level development through to complete systems, services and real-world engineering applications.
NEW CATEGORIES
A key development for 2026 has been the introduction of several new categories, ensuring the awards remain aligned with emerging technologies
and evolving industry priorities.
Among the most significant additions is the Industrial AI Product of the Year category. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly embedded within industrial environments, AI-driven solutions are helping organisations improve efficiency, reduce downtime and optimise performance through predictive maintenance, advanced analytics and autonomous decision- making. The category recognises products demonstrating measurable benefits through the practical application of AI technologies. Another new addition is Passive Component/ Electromechanical Product of the Year. While often operating behind the scenes, passive
