universal signal conditioner for sirius DaQ D

ewesoft has announced the release of a powerful new UNI (Universal) signal conditioner for SIRIUS DAQ systems. UNI conditioners are

capable of handling all popular sensors on the market today, including strain gages, IEPE accelerometers and microphones, voltages, currents, LVDTs and more. The module is based on SIRIUS DualCoreADC technology, which provides >160dB of dynamic range. The amplifier also directly measures voltage from ±10mV to ±100V. Improved excitation current accuracy provides a constant current supply for quarter bridge strain gage applications.

SIRIUS UNI MaIN FeatUReS:

Directly accepts Full/Half/Quarter bridge strain gages, IEPE accelerometers and microphones, voltages from ±10mV to ±100 V, resistance measurements, RTD temperature sensors, and potentiometers.

Accepts charge accelerometers, thermocouples, LVDT and current inputs via DSI adapters (a variety of shunts are also available for current measurements)

High dynamic capabilities (>160 dB)

High acquisition rate (200 kS/s) and 70 kHz bandwidth TEDS support (Class 1 and Class 2)

46 SIRIUS UNI supports TEDS Class 1 and 2,

which means that TEDS compatible sensors are automatically identified when they are connected, and easily set up in the software. The included DewesoftX software has a user-editable sensor database that makes setting up your tests faster, easier and more error-free than ever before. Although the UNI module comes with a DB9

connector as standard, various LEMO connectors are available upon request. UNI is available in both isolated and non-isolated versions, and with or without a counter input which is perfectly synchronised with the analog input. Like many other Dewesoft signal conditioners,

SIRIUS UNI is compatible with the company’s line of DSI adapters. These small adapters plug into SIRIUS UNI and convert it to handle a wide range of other input types, including LVDTs, low and medium level currents, charge sensors, thermocouples and more.

DewesoftX combines data recording features from several data interfaces and packs in very strong signal processing features for vibration analysis, structural dynamics, vehicle testing, NVH, power analysis, acoustics, aerospace, monitoring and more. DewesoftX offers advanced data recording, data analysis, data visualisation, reporting features, and more.

Dewesoft dewesoft.com In order to improve the handling with

these termination plugs, this design has now been supplemented by a version with eyelet. Thus, termination plugs can be attached directly to the device by a loss prevention device, e.g. a loop or a steel rope, and are always at hand. This also makes it possible to use such terminating plugs as protection of unmated interfaces, for example in the case of a programming interface on machines or devices. The installation space inside these

CONEC terminating plugs allows wiring of several resistors of different performance classes, so that customer-specific configurations can also be realized. All standard codings from the M12

signal connector program can be produced as termination connectors. Optional colour variants as well as customer- specific logos integrated into the overmolding complete the offer.

n the industrial environment, CAN-based bus protocols for data transmission have been established for decades. These include, for example, the transmission protocols Devicenet and CANOpen. In contrast to the Industrial Ethernet-based

transmission protocols, these require a terminating resistor at the end of the signal line path. Without this, undesirable reflections could occur at the end of the signal line path and thus disturbances in data transmission. To prevent this, CONEC has been offering

overmoulded M12x1 terminating connectors for some time, which are screwed onto the open end of a bus system. In the case of service or an extension of a bus system, the terminating plug can be removed quickly and easily or the position can be changed.
