Franchise Finance
Donna King recently joined the Franchise Finance team as business development manager. Donna has over 20 years’ experience with a high proportion of this time spent at RBS looking after franchisor and franchisee relationships. In August 2011, Donna became the bank’s franchise business development manager with a remit to build relationships with franchisors across the UK, with a view to providing banking / funding support to both franchisors and their franchisees. During this time, Donna successfully attained her RBS Franchise Accreditation and her Qualifi ed Franchise Professional award from the British Franchise Association. Franchise Finance director Chris Roberts commented: “Donna is very well known in the franchise industry and is a great addition to our expanding team. She is looking forward to helping us grow our business by introducing our fi nancing, business planning and training services to an even wider range of franchisors and franchisees.

strengthen its team with the appointment earlier in the year of franchise expert Kevin Noble as training manager. Kevin works directly with business development and training director Chris Roberts delivering bespoke and generic business and fi nancial training courses. Kevin previously held a long and successful role at NatWest and also worked directly with the Prince’s Trust and Business Link, during which time he became an associate of The Institute of Business Advisors. He subsequently joined the NatWest franchise team as one of three directors, tasked with helping franchisors and franchisees to start up and grow their businesses, and supporting ethical franchising. He became one of the fi rst franchise professionals to obtain Qualifi ed Franchise Professional status in 2011. Commenting on Kevin’s appointment, Franchise Finance director Stuart Walsh said: “We are delighted to have yet another top-class franchise banker join our team to help service our rapidly growing customer base and expand our training services.”

Ben Brookes Agency Express
Agency Express has announced the promotion of Ben Brookes to director of franchising and equity
shareholder in Agency Express Ltd. Ben, formerly franchise manager, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Agency Express board having worked with the brand for over seven years and with a background in the property industry, having previously worked for leading property portal Rightmove.
His primary roles within Agency Express are to manage the day-to-day operations of the business and to further grow their network of franchise operators. Ben will also play a key role in all of the company’s business advancements and strategic development moving forward.
Ben commented: “It has been a great
pleasure developing and working with our 110-strong network of franchisees over the last seven years, and I look forward to fulfi lling my new role as director of franchising. Continuing to support and develop our brand in the coming months and years will be my primary directive – as the UK’s largest provider of estate agency board services, we will focus on continuing to enhance and improve the already excellent service and systems enjoyed by our 6,500 estate agency clients across the UK.”

Iconic brand Harry Ramsden’s has appointed Frank Romano to the newly- created position of franchise
director with immediate effect as it steps up its ambitious franchise expansion plans. Joe Teixeira, CEO of Harry Ramsden’s, commented: “With his wealth of experience and fi rst-class track record, we are delighted to announce Frank’s appointment to this important new role within Harry Ramsden’s. Frank will be charged with accelerating our ambitious franchising model, which is set to deliver over 100 new UK outlets, as a result of agreements in place for Yorkshire, Scotland and South West Sussex.
