From small beginnings in 1850s Brighton, the University of Brighton has grown to a complex and diverse institution based in the south coast of England. Employability is at the heart of our teaching; 91% of our graduates are now in full-time work or further education. Over 50 of our courses are recognised and accredited by leading professional organisations, providing students with additional qualifi cations. Specialist teams support students in securing placement years, internships, and volunteering opportunities, offering real-world experiences. From our Disability and Dyslexia team, to our Student Support Offi cers and Student Union, and our amaing mental and physical health services – we aim to make sure every student feels safe and supported. A student support fund is available for fi nancial diffi culty. The student advice team can help you work out if you are eligible to apply. Depending on circumstances, you could receive up to £1,250 through the new Brighton Boost scheme* to help with your study, accommodation or travel costs.

We want you to be curious and explore where your experience will take you, and we’ll provide you with the choices, exibility, and support you need.
Etracurricular Academic achievement is only one part of student life, so whether you are passionate about creative writing, knitting, playing sports or even volunteering - these experiences and hobbies can provide skills that could be extremely benefi cial to your learning experience at Brighton. For example, being a part of a volunteering group can develop your team and organisational skills, which are super handy when you have important group work and deadlines.
