“VPZ provides full onboarding, training, support, and guidance to give franchisees the best start possible … training covers all store-related aspects, including product and technical knowledge, controls, and procedures, all so new staff can accurately deliver the ‘VPZ Standard of Excellence’”

Latest figures show that approximately

3.2 million people in the UK have already quit smoking using vaping, with another 270,000 currently making the switch.** Meanwhile, The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities estimates that there are approximately 6.4 million smokers still left in the UK, all of whom could potentially switch to vaping. Having already assisted over over 1 million customers through smoking cessation, VPZ is committed to providing their services to the 6.4 million yet to switch. VPZ takes pride in its position as the

knowledge, controls, and procedures, all so new staff can accurately deliver the ‘VPZ Standard of Excellence’. Outside of the training, VPZ also offers dedicated services and applications. This includes a structured dedicated field support network, in-house IT, ERP, HR, and HSE systems, a partner scheme for online sales, and an industry-leading after- care program. As for the industry itself, further

evidence continues to indicate that vaping can act as a key component of the NHS’s Quit Smoking strategy. Public Health England’s recent reports continue to state that vaping is a highly effective way for smokers to quit, and up to twice as effective as other nicotine- replacement solutions. This builds on landmark findings that state vaping is at least 95% less harmful than smoking traditional tobacco cigarettes.*

UK’s leading vaping specialist, using its wealth of experience to offer important industry insights. For instance, the retailer currently holds a spot on the directors’ board of the UKVIA (UK Vaping Industry Association), having been a founding member. A non-profit organisation, the UKVIA represents non-tobacco vaping companies to protect the industry and its users. VPZ acts as a significant thought leader and voice for change within the industry, most notably actively supporting a disposable ban from its inception. The company was the first to introduce recycling services in stores and has consistently advocated for users to swap to a more sustainable solution. With the public now being forced to consider reusable options, VPZ has positioned itself accordingly. Working in tandem with sister company Absolute E-juice, who are also based in Edinburgh, VPZ is committed to providing an increasing

number of best-in-class e-liquids. The retailer also has long-lasting partnerships with the industry’s leading brands, allowing the company to hold exclusive and authorised dealership status on some of the most sought-after vaping products. Despite the disposable ban, the vaping

industry continues to grow, with market revenue expected to reach £3.46billion by 2028. Standing the test of time, vape shops such as VPZ’s are now a staple in prime shopping locations, with landlords increasingly fond of the reliable and low-risk nature of vape shop tenancy. The result of this is increased availability in high footfall areas, most evident in VPZ’s recent Metrocentre franchise store opening in Newcastle. As the company moves forward, expect to see the VPZ brand in even more prime shopping locations, furthering the smoking- cessation mission. In May, VPZ will launch seven stores as

part of an initial roll out and partnership with Morrisons, offering a fully-kitted- out store and expert service model in arguably one of the country’s largest supermarket chains. This is merely the tip of the iceberg, as the long-term aim is to have a store in every major town by 2028 – to say nothing of the potential opportunities in major motorway service stations, transport network hubs and airports. n
