NatWest sponsors Coconut Creatives workshops

Coconut Creatives has announced that NatWest will sponsor the Coconut Franchisor Marketing Workshops for 2017. NatWest has been involved in the franchising world for over 30 years, investing valuable resources into the sector. The bank has a dedicated team of franchise relationship managers who provide expert support and guidance to franchisors and franchisees across the UK with the aim of helping the sector to grow.

James Kind, franchise development manager at NatWest, says: “Having worked with Coconut Creatives over a number of years on a variety of projects, we are incredibly proud to be able to support this programme. “As part of a range of services they offer, Coconut’s workshop programme is hugely beneficial for franchisors, both large and small, and investing in the franchise sector is a key part of our strategy. Any franchisors attending

the Coconut workshops can be assured they will be taking away practical skills, which can be implemented as soon as they walk out of the door. The Coconut team really are experts in their field!”

Paul Clegg, managing director at Coconut

Creatives, says: “NatWest joining our workshop programme is a considerable boost for the Coconut brand and offers additional support to those franchisors who attend our workshops. “We are always looking for ways to add extra value for anyone who works with us, or attends our workshops, so partnering with NatWest really helps to augment this. We’d like to thank the team at NatWest and we look forward to working with them for what is already shaping up to be a very successful 2017.” The Coconut Creatives team offers expert training, using illustrations and life lessons

RADA launches courses for women in business

The commercial arm of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) has launched a new range of professional development courses designed specifically for women in business. RADA in Business will work with women at each stage of their career, complementing its successful Executive Presence for Women programme. The classes will equip many female graduates, middle managers and women on their path to more senior roles with the communication and impact skills required to succeed in the more male-dominated corporate environments. Each of the three courses focuses on teaching women to communicate with authority, authenticity and impact in their professional roles through body language, breath and voice training.

The one-day entry-level course, called ‘Confidence and Presence for Women (Take the Stage)’, helps female graduates make the transition from higher education to the corporate world, and focuses on status, body language, breath, voice and personal brand. The course aimed at women in middle management, ‘Impact and Influence for

Women (Step into the Spotlight)’, focuses on empowering women with the skills, confidence and belief to put themselves forward for more senior positions. The senior-level programme, ‘Executive

Presence for Women (Hold Your Space)’, is a modular programme that includes three workshops, coaching and supportive materials, and focuses on the skills needed to transform performance in the workplace at the highest levels of business. Liz Barber, client director at RADA in Business, says: “We’re delighted to offer these courses, specifically tailored to women in business. We have worked with women in business for well over a decade to overcome the common challenges they often face in the corporate world, and our aim with this new range of courses is to equip them with the skills they need to make sure they are heard, own their own space, and have the impact they desire. “By offering courses for women at different stages in their career, we are able to ensure each course reflects the individual needs and challenges of women at various levels. cover everything from developing a personal brand and getting themselves noticed, to enabling them to stand out in a boardroom dominated by men, or in environments in which it may still not be usual for women to excel to the top.

“The courses are designed to enable and empower women to be their best version of themselves, at work and beyond, to develop the skills to overcome the hurdles and bias they may encounter on their journeys to the top.” Each programme can be delivered for individuals through the RADA in Business open- course portfolio, or in-house for businesses looking to train a number of employees. RADA in Business has worked with women at all levels in businesses including HSBC, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, AstraZeneca, Microsoft, Intel, and the London School of Economics.
