A new age
Dr Jane Prince, principal lecturer in psychology at the University of South Wales. “It is a lot to do with self theory: how we are guided by people we would like to become. When it comes to business, it is no longer down to years of experience; expertise and an enthusiasm to learn can be a far more investable trait. A younger franchisee is not a risk; in fact, they can be more fl exible than some baby boomers.
This month, we take a look at generation Y – or the millennials – and what makes them great candidates to run your franchise. If you turn to page 24, you’ll fi nd this issue’s main feature on what makes millennials tick and, more importantly, how they can help you as a franchisor grow your business.

The magazine is also packed with advice and interviews with industry experts, including Simit Sarayı’s franchise director Canar Yazar. He reveals the bakery franchise’s greatest achievements on page 30. Finally, remember to fl ip the magazine on its head for the latest edition of Franchise Your Business. It really is a fantastic guide to taking
the next step and franchising your own business. Enjoy! Digital publishers:
