in Zurich, where sustainability took center stage. It featured insightful talks on climate change and food waste, while the Student Challenge was a highlight, showcasing new perspectives and ideas. Most importantly, networking with FCSI members was invaluable. Hats off to the EAME division for organizing such a meaningful event!

I

SUPPORTIVE AND COLLABORATIVE

arlier this month, I had the privilege of attending the FCSI Worldwide board meeting and the FCSI EAME Division’s Conference in Zurich. At the meeting, we engaged in critical discussions aimed at standardizing professional exams across divisions and units. Tis exam initiative is vital for ensuring consistency and excellence in our field. Te highlight of the

INDUSTRY PROGRESS

Yael Meier on “Gen Z and Us”. She shared valuable insights on attracting and retaining younger professionals. Tis perspective is crucial as we strive to adapt to the evolving workforce. It confirms the investment in the TAD EPiC committee of younger and emerging consultants and the value they bring to our organization. Another standout moment was the FCSI Student Challenge, where nine aspiring consultants presented their

visions for the 2034 hospital of the future. I found their ideas enlightening and inspiring. Te creativity and confidence displayed in their presentations were remarkable and gave me hope for our profession’s future. Tese experiences not only deepened my understanding of current challenges but also reaffirmed the importance of fostering new industry talent. I left the events feeling motivated and excited for FCSI’s future across all divisions.

for FHA HoReCa, where I was proud to host several FCSI APD events, including a panel on the future of hospitality, a masterclass on robotics and AI, and an industry networking event with 100+ attendees. Our division is in a strong position as we move into 2025, and the turnout reflected our growing momentum. It’s exciting to see our community evolve, with members contributing to industry progress.

Speaking of 2025, the Asia

Pacific division is thrilled to host our CIRCLE 25 conference in Hoi An, Vietnam in July 2025. We’re eager to welcome all FCSI members and industry leaders to what promises to be a fantastic event. With sustainability at the forefront of everything we do, the future is bright for our division, and we look forward to continuing to push boundaries and set new standards in the year ahead.

s we move from 2024 into 2025, I want to thank you all for the amazing journey

we’ve had together. Tis year has been full of connections, inspiration, and growth. I would like to thank all of our members for their support. From our Board meeting in Barcelona to the exciting FCSI launches in Spain and Portugal, we’ve seen the strength of our global network. Te FCSI EAME Conference in Zurich and GulfHost in Dubai gave us great

chances to share knowledge and network, showing our commitment to excellence. Te Zurich Conference was perfectly organized at a location that was unexpectedly vibrant, the Circle at Zurich Airport. I am happy that the UK&I

chapter is hosting the conference in 2026 in Liverpool. But we will have many events to meet and network in 2025, especially the Host exhibition in Milan. We hope to have a new concept that everyone likes. I am
