Busy start to 2025 for the Educational Foundation


Te FCSI Educational Foundation will hit the ground running in the new year, with a number of new programs, says Foundation president Garrett Lennon FCSI


T


he first event of the new year will be the inaugural launch of the Foodservice Design Certificate program at Western


Kentucky University – a professional studies program for non-degree-seeking students. Tis is in addition to the degree-seeking Foodservice Design Certificate program. Tis new program has been more than three years in the making and is designed for working professionals in the foodservice design space and those who would like a career in foodservice design. Te program was developed with the working professional in mind, as classes will be delivered online and include eight days of in-person learning. Te curriculum includes classes in


foodservice sanitation; materials and finishes; commercial foods; digital design; menu and supply chain management; and foodservice design. Te class size is limited to 15, to


ensure more one-on-one instruction and individualized feedback. Te cost of the certificate program is $3,699.00 per person. Te university has also secured a special room rate of $99 per night for the eight days of in-person instruction.

Te Foundation will launch FEED C+M (consultants and manufacturers), a program specially designed for emerging designers and manufacturers eager to enhance their knowledge in the facility design process.
