Excitement, growth and collaboration

H

aving just returned from the FCSI Worldwide board meeting and

EAME Conference in Zurich, Switzerland, I am filled with excitement and optimism about the continued growth and collaboration within our esteemed society. Te Worldwide board is united in its efforts to align policies and standards globally, working cohesively to further strengthen our global impact. I am especially pleased with the openness and shared commitment between all divisions as we work toward the common goal of advancing FCSI around the world. I also want to take a moment

to express immense gratitude to our new media partners, 1473 Media, based in London, UK. A little over a year ago, we were informed that GlobalData, our previous partner, was shutting down its media division, leaving our account unsupported. Tis unexpected challenge required swift action from the Worldwide board to find a new partner capable of supporting our global platform of products and the unique nature of our society. A huge thank you to Stuart Charlton, Sam Gallagher, Mike Jones, Tina Nielsen, and the entire 1473 Media team for your hard work and dedication

KEEP IN TOUCH

throughout this transitional year – it is truly appreciated.

A GROWING URGENCY

Tis issue of the Foodservice Consultant magazine is focused on the ever-important topic of sustainability. Our industry is at a critical crossroads, where addressing sustainability is no longer optional but essential. With the growing urgency of environmental challenges such as food waste, climate change, and resource depletion, the need for continued change is evident. As one of the most energy- intensive sectors, foodservice has a unique opportunity to lead the charge in adopting sustainable practices that benefit both the planet and business profitability. Sustainability in foodservice goes beyond the kitchen. Each segment of the industry can look inwards at its own business practices to ensure that we are all being environmental stewards. In a world increasingly

concerned about the environment, foodservice professionals have the chance to make a lasting difference. Otherwise, as we look to

2025, I would like to highlight some of the amazing FCSI events taking place around the globe. I would highly recommend that you take
