Offi cial launch gets city’s second annual education awards under way


With entries now open for the 2024 Milton Keynes Education Awards, All T ings Business invited the judges, sponsors and special guests to the launch of this year’s event. Held at Aiimi in Milton Keynes in February, the event was


an opportunity for all those involved to meet, network and fi nd out more about the awards process and the forthcoming awards nights. T e second Milton Keynes Education Awards (MKEAs)


will be held on Friday, July 5 at Stadium MK, with dancer, choreographer and TV personality Louie Spence as guest host. T is year’s headline sponsors are Facilities Management


Solutions and Brioche Pasquier, and category sponsors include Xero, MK Preparatory School and Aiimi. T e judges for the MKEAs have now been announced.


T e three with the diffi cult decisions to make this year are accomplished educator Dr Julie Mills OBE DL, Philanthropy Director at Milton Keynes Community Foundation Ranjit Singh; and CEO of Bletchley Park Trust, Iain Standen. T is year’s awards will feature 14 categories including,


for the fi rst time, IT Champion, Unsung Hero, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Champion. All T ings Business holds an Outstanding rating from the


Awards Trustmark scheme. All award entries are, in the fi rst instance, scored against set criteria and marked through a bespoke software-based scoring system before finalists are selected. T e fi nalists will then be considered by the independent judges and a winner chosen. At the event at Aimii, All Things Business Managing


Director Ben T omas said: “We were delighted with how the inaugural awards were received last year and are confi dent this year’s will be bigger and better than ever, and we are delighted to have new sponsors, new categories and new judges on board. “At the heart of everything we do is that business needs


education and education needs business and it is a source of great pride to us that we have the support of so many busi- nesses in Milton Keynes willing to get involved and support and recognise those who do so much in the education sector. “Entries are open now and we look forward to recognising


more fantastic schools, colleges and educators at the awards night in July.” T e Milton Keynes Education Awards will be held on July 5


at Stadium MK. Tickets will go on sale once the fi nalists have been announced in May.
