Chaplains with the app are able to connect with caregivers who can then immediately access a Chaplain Care Team. MyChap offers a direct connection to chaplains 24/7, and Mileson says that most often caregivers have time only after work hours to connect with a chaplain which makes round-the-clock availability a significant feature. Having an opportunity to share personal issues, receive counsel, prayer and care is a benefit that operators can provide to their care teams.


Mileson pursues a desire to provide extra support for caregivers who have been called to care for others. “You have to take care of caregivers, so residents are taken care of” Mileson says.


Building a unique relationship with a well-trained and well-experienced chaplain opens up an opportunity for a caregiver to take healthy steps in emotional, spiritual, and relational aspects of life.
