Free museum visits


.If you or anyone you care for suffers from dementia, then you’l l be interested to know that all staff at Clitheroe Cas­ tle Museum are trained as dementia friends. And from Monday to Saturday they are holding a series of free wel­ come events for all those with Alzheimer’s, other forms of the disease and their carers. These include bookable ind- vidualor group explorations of the museum with or with­ out a guide, which can even be made from 11-15 am, some 45 minutes before the museum opens to the public. On Monday, Tuesday and Friday, you can also join staff in the Victorian kitchen to handle some of the artefacts and en­


joy a brew and biscuits. The week closes with a Saturday drop-in festival, which will see the museum hosting a help and advice fair with a range of information stands staffed by professionals able to advise on local support.
