Table Top Sale To hire a table for the table
top sale to be held in the Vil lage Hall on Sunday, please phone Pauline on 01200 423140 or Janet on 426272. The sale will be from 9 am
until 2 pm, with setting up from 7-30 am. Admission is free and
homemade refreshments will be available. Donations to the village
table would be greatly appreci ated and can be collected.

members and Deb Phillips, WI advisor, held their 90th annual meeting. After the elections and re
ports, with one new member to the committee, long time members told of their early WI days at Mitton, meeting monthly in the church school. Memorabilia was on
display of many happy events and memories of all the warm friendships and nostalgic moments from the past, and after all those years at Mitton, moved to a new home in Whal- leyinthelateiggos. Doreen Balshaw was pre sented with the silver cup for
long time service. Alice Wallace received the
StarCup. The committee provided a
buffet supper and president Dorothy Hollin thanked the tellers from Great Harwood WI and all who had helped to make a successful 90th year of excellent speakers, outings and events.
The next meeting will be
onDecember 2nd, at7pm at Whalley Old Grammar School, when the speaker will be Lisa Moore and the subject “Needlefelting”.
