gets a whole host of up-mar ket equipment on board for a pretty decent price. He or she also gets a shedload of contrasting black thrown in • for good measure - the whole roof is gloss black, as is the front grille, door mirror cap pings, front air dam, side mouldings, wheel arch sur rounds, alloys, rear diffuser and front foglights. set up that the driver always feels in command and on my main test run in pouring rain, the Yeti felt composed, rock solid and well planted, with reassuring grip. Those ofyou who like their
move and hug you through the bends. But the Monte Carlo (based
on the SE model) isn’t just aboutknock’emdeadlooks. It also features specials such as bi-xenon headlights with cor nering function and dynamic control and three-spoke leath
er ‘Supersport’ multi-func tional steering wheel. You don’t have to settle
for red, of course - the Mon te Carlo also comes in (you’ve guessed it) black, white, silver or grey. On the road, the Yeti Monte Carlo deliversjust as spectac
ularly. It is powered by a 2.0 TD1 diesel engine with 4x4 transmission as standard and there’s a choice of six-speed manual or DSG sequential au tomatic gearbox. Despite its generous ride
height and upright stance, the noble-looking Yeti is one
switchgear and equipment easy to hand and simple will appreciate the Yeti’s well laid out and uncomplicated dash board and the ‘infotainment’ system is idiot-proof (even for me). Luggage space is gener ous. They new Yeti remains one
ofmy favourites in its segment and the charismatic Monte Carlo takes it to the next lev el in terms of versatility and image.
