announced their intention to sell it, but as it is included on the Ribble Valley Register of Community Assets, commu nity groups are entitled to ex press an interest in acquiring the site for use as acommunity facility, before it goes on the open market. The public meeting will

Now we’ve gobbled the turkey, waddle we do for New Year?
The New Year got of to a quacking start for Bolton- by-Bowland Young Farmers’ Club when they held their January ist Duck Race. Taking place in the pic turesque village, the annual
. event was organised by. the young farmers and people braved the wet and windy weather to buy tickets and watch their yellpw rubber ducks race down the brook. There were cash prizes
for those in first, second and third place, and the winners were: ist-DavidHoyle,2nd- Steven Plant, 3rd - Andy Hay- thornthwaite. ■ - - This year the race was
organised to raise money for one of Bolton-by-Bow-
