. The new hospital will have, 32 in-patient beds: Some 16
• of the beds will be individual rooms with en-suite bath rooms. There will also be four four-bed bays, all with en suite facilities and with different
•colour schemes. The artwork and decor of the wards has’ been inspired by Clitheroe- folk. There w i l l be a large patients’ lounge, plus a “love
; snug” area where patients can spend time with their relatives away from the ward. • The new hospital will
be the first in East Lanca shire not to have nursing! stations. Instead the nurses . will be equipped with mobile computers, a move health-, experts believe will encourage nurses to have more interact tion with patients and enable the delivery of higher stand ards of care. • In addition, there will be
three physiotherapy teams, one occupational therapy team, special care dentistry treatment, diagnostic facili ties, a new radiplogy section and an expanded out-patient department with eight con-
