' SE^GING, dancing and drama are all in '_ a day’s work for Pendle Primary School
£ Year 5 pupil, Madeleine Dummer. ; _The. talented youngster features in this
year’s Interflora Mother’s Day TV campaign and has recently finished filming the BBC’s
'latest adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Mac beth’’. She also'made it down to the last five
' for the role of Brigitta when she auditioned ' in London for the West End production of The Sound of Music. • • ^ Yet'Madeleine (10), of Whalley Road,
Clitheroe, is not letting success go to her head,‘as her mum Rose explains; “Although Madeleine loves taking part is shows and mu-
^ sicals, she’s quite laid back about it and un derstands that it’s not the be-all-and-end-all if she doesn’t get a part she has auditioned
• for. Everything she has done so far has just ' been a series of great experiences for her and she’s very good at taking it all in her stride.” -
_ 'Busy Madeleine is a keen member of Rib- ,ble Valley Dance, where she takes part in '
' Ballet, Tap, Modem and Theatrecraft classes and is taking the lead role in their upcoming
■ production;“Olivia-The Musical”. • 'A passion for stage and screen is obviously a family trait, as brothers and sister Char- , lie,-' Oscar .and Lillie have also taken part in various productions, with Charlie hav-
■ ing auditioned for a film role in “The Boy • in the Striped-Pyjamas” and Lillie joining ; • Madeleine on screen in “Macbeth”.

Rose continues: “Although the children
are keen to audition for new parts, we are also aware as a family that the process needs • to be fun. Madeleine enjoys amateur dramat ics, having taken part in various Burnley Me chanics productions and this takes up a lot of time. She’s had some amazing experiences ■ through her love of music and dance and it’s ; been a great way for all the kids to learn valu able life skills.”
