ASPIRING writers can pick up liter­ ary advice at three events in July.


. The events have been organised by the Lancashire Writing Hub and take place at Burnley Central Library, the Grand at Clitheroe and ColneLibrary. ■

A CHARITY is looking for daredev­ ils to swim with sharks in a bid to raise money to fund research, care and cam­ paigns for children and adults with mus­ cle disease. The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign is seeking adventurous people to learn the


• basics of scuba diving in a gigantic aquari- ■ um lank with a variety of sharks, stingrays and conger eels for company. The “Discover Scuba” challenge, or­


ganised by the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign to raise funds to fight muscle disease, is aimed at diving beginners and the next sessions take place on September 2nd and September 6th at the Blue Planet Aquarium in Cheshire.

Those brave enough to take the plunge are asked to raise a minimum of £250 in - sponsorship. .
