Jug with an impressive 75-6-69 return. David Heesom matched Pauls gross score but had to settle for the best nett trophy after cards. P.C. Richard - Baker took • the second nett prize - a birdie on the par five 18th giving him the edge over Mike Ranson. •

group prize and Chris Sims the over 70s even though the wheeis feli off big time on the tricky par three 17th. Geoff Sutcliffe had the fithth
midweek medal in his grasp untii a triple bogey on the 18th cost him the Division One prize. Ralph Pdstlethwaite. found a birdie on the final hole to match Sutcliffe’s 69 and a card play-off gave him top spot. Douglas Woodburn had a five shot margin over second placed John Ashurst in Division Two with a sparkling nett 67. The blue' course tested the
