from Ribblesdale Pool a week on Sunday (August 23rd).

8 a.m. and noon,'based upon ability level, and should complete 16 lengths of the 25m. pool.

comse, offering riders breathtaking views of the Lancashire countryside; They will head out from the leisure centre through Bashall Eaves in Bowland, before return ing over Longridge Fell.- . Bashall Eaves before comj- pleting a loop back to the finishing line... ; The event is insured by. the British Triathlon Federation and only partici pants aged 16 and over are'allowed to take part. Garden show Grindleton Horticul tural Show is taking place on Saturday, August 29th in the village school and schedules are now available. -. The organisers would like everyone in the ■vil lage to take part by entering at least one
of.the.many cate gories, even if you ■have not,entered ■ before i t will bring
out any lurking com petitiveness.
The categories range from photography to baking - even using a bread maker. U you only have one bloom i t can be entered in the flower class, home-made spirit based drink such as sloe gin or lemon squash can be entered. There are classes for jam, fruit and vegetables and a craft entry of a hand-made greeting card, not to mention floral art. If you are not around that weekend you can leave your entries ■with a friend to take along.
