A NEW BBC antiques programme is coming to film at Stonyhurst College


at the end of this month. - “Restoration Roadshow” is


a new 20-par t se ries of 30- minute episodes being filmed for BBC2 Daytime and front­ ed by an tiq u e s exp e r t Eric Knowles. ■ U n l ik e o th e r a n t iq u e s


shows, it is n o t looking for, pristine treasures and immac­ u la te h e ir lo om s , b u t for antiques tha t are past their prime, in need of some TLC or simply smashed and bro­ ken. " Experts on the show will


ap p ra ise and v a lu e th e antiques, but also give advice on restoration, including an


' estimated cost, and the likely value once restored. If the owner decides to go ahead and pay for restora-
