LOVERS of 60s music will be donning their dancing shoes for charity at The Grand on Satur­ day night. The Backbeats tribute


band will be turning the clock back on an amaz­ ing era for pop music


with a storming set of 60s covers from the likes of The Beatles, Elvis Pres­ ley the Kinks and the Rolling Stones. The four-piece band,


featuring Barrie Lancast­ er (guitar/vocals), Tony Bate (guitar/vocals).


Nick Mackey (bass/vocals) and Mike Sherlock (drums), will perform two sets of clas­ sic hits and also incorpo­ rate a 60s/70s disco into the evening's entertain­ ment. Money raised at the event will go towards
