As in all other club competi tions this season, a handicapping system has been introduced to encourage more mem bers to take part.

STEAM fans from across the north flocked to the Kib ble Valley for the 10th Chip ping Steam Fair. Held a t th e Green Lane

said: “T h is y e a r ’s fa ir was beyond our wild es t dreams, with record numbers of entries in all categories. The fine weath er on all three days was tremen dous and helped to swell the vis-; itor numbers. “We have had so many com
pliments from both visitors and exhibitors - it is a real tribute to the stewards and 100-plus vol unteers who give up their time to help. They have worked as a ' te am and done a wonderful job.”- . The fair was officially opened
