to Prof. Pickering by Dr ’ Keith Tuxford. The next meeting is on,:

Win 9 fantastic trip to the Belfry

THIS week in conjunction with dug dales digital, we are giving away a night’s accommodation for two peo ple at the Belfry. One of the most prestigious and world famous golf courses in the

. world, the Belfry has hosted the Ryder Cup on four occasions with the most recent being in 2002.' : And in recognition of Sky having exclusive rights to this year’s Ryder

' Cup, which takes place at Valhalla ■ Golf Club, in Louisville, .Kentucky, in the United States of America, dugdales digital is'offering this fan tastic prize. :; ■ The prize includes two rounds of

- golf, one of which is on'th'e-West Midlands brabazon course, dinner and bed and breakfast. , The Ryder Cup is a golf trophy,

donated by Samuel Ryder, which is awarded' biennially between teams from Europe and the.United States. ■ The competition began following an exhibition match in 1926 of a team representing American profes sionals against a similar one repre-

. senting the British PGA on the East Course, Wentworth Club, Virginia

■ Water, Surrey, UK. - - Early matches between the two

sides were fairly even, but after the Second World War, repeated US dominance led to a decision to extend the representation of the British and Irish team to Europe in 1979. As a result of this change the

event has enjoyed more competitive matches, with Europe winning seven times and retaining the cup once, compared to six American wins. To enter the draw simply fill in

the: coupon provided or go to www.dugdalesdigital.com/belfry and apply online.
