12-30 p.m. on Saturday at the junc­ tion of Kmlico Road and the Pimlico Link Road. The purple Micra then crashed into the level crossing lights. Mr Simpson was trapped in his car


and suffered serious injuries. He was cut free from the wreckage by Lan­ cashire Fire and Rescue before being flown by air ambulance to hospital where his condition has been dekribed as “serious but stable” = - . S ^ Pete ScUlpher from Blackburn
