of players that has seen clubs up to three leagues above take note, some­ thing Reynolds and Smith would like to build on by re-introduc­ ing a reserve side set up to feed the first team. There aren’t any plans


in place yet, but it is something the two man­ agers want in the future. Reynolds said: “A


reserve team is some­ thing me and Pete are desperate to. put in place. We lost Pete Collinge to Chorley because we couldn’t offer him anything else and for a player on contract that was the only solu­ tion. “We’ve seen what a


reserve side can do in the past, as it brought through Gary Jackson, Jason Jones, John Paul Fagan and Chris Heslop.

loved it. Every day has been like my first train­ ing session with the lads. I’ve been with the club on and off for seven to eight years and I want that to carry on. “I feel as a club we


have progressed on and off the pitch this year. To sum up, i t ’s been pretty successful, we fin­ ished with the highest points tally the club has had in the UniBond, and we had a great FA Cup run which just proves that we are not a club going backwards any more. “The type of players


we’re attracting shows we’re moving forward and that people want to play for Clitheroe.”
