explains: "Christmas is a time when peo ple clearly need help and advice and who better to offer this than older people who have lived through most scenarios? Most people don't recognise the wisdom, wit and experience that older people can offer. We do. Too many older people are isolated in their communities, and have little con tact with other people, and yet they have so much to offer. Every day thousands of WRVS volunteers cross the threshold into older people's homes and help them live independently so they can get the most out of life. Everyone can cross th a t threshold, either by picking up some handy tips and advice from the WRVS Wiseline or by volunteering with WRVS themselves." The WRVS Wiseline address is on
