CARPETS of CLITHEROE Lovesick ex-partner in court

A MAN who pledged his love in two- foot high letters on a motorway bridge has appeared in court charged with harassing his former partner. Peter Mooring (32), of Whipp

Avenue, Clitheroe, pleaded not guilty to harassing Kerry McKenna and was remanded on bail with conditions he does not contact her or go near her home in Accrington. Mr Basharat Ditta (defending) said

his client had sent Miss McKenna flow ers and text messages seeking to rekin dle their romance, as well as painting love messages on the M65 motorway bridge, but said this did not amount to harassment. The messages on the footbridge, close

to junction four of the M65, read: “I love you Kerry McKenna” on one side and “I miss you loads Kerry McKen na” on the other.

High street store turns to Valley man for help

WHEN High Street chemist Boots hit problems sourcing 1.8 million nail files for its “Beach Gorgeous” campaign, it turned to Clitheroe man Micheal Robin son and his specialist supply chain com pany Clear Prospects.

Company founder Michael already

supplied his “The Je tR e s t” range of travel accessories to Boots and was approached by its marketing team for urgent help. “It was quite a tall order,” admitted

Michael. “They needed 1.8 million branded nail files to go out with a pro motional pack within a very short time- frame. Boots’ ‘Beach Gorgeous’ cam paign was one of its most high-profile of the summer and deadlines just had to be met.”

Boots’ own suppliers had not been able

to source the quantities needed, but using Clear Prospects’ own supply chain, Michael found a solution in China. “Without doubt it is the largest single

volume campaign Clear Prospects has ever undertaken. The 1.8 million packs were given away free of charge through all Boots UK stores and we are delighted to have played our role in the success of the campaign.” Now Clear Prospects is building some

thing of a reputation for itself in the nail file world. The creative agency working for Nectar turned to it for a top quality nail file to give away to its sales team as part of an internal promotion. For more information about Clear

Prospects visit th e ir website on:: www.clearprospects.com
