OWNERS of Chipping Post Office Gallery, Paul and Laura Hunt, are delighted to host an exhibition by members of the "Made in Lancashire" organisa­ tion. The exhibition features work by


10 talented artists working with a variety of media. They included landscape photography, bespoke hand-made wooden boxes and vases, a collection of fairies, uni­ corns and other fantasy artwork beautifully drawn in pastels,


watercolours and ink, a selection of paintings, prints and greetings cards of wildlife and natural histo­ ry illustrations, hand-made furni­ ture and wooden gifts. The exhibition runs until the' end of February.

Raid on Castle Cement


METAL worth hundreds of pounds has been stolen from a Ribble Valley firm. Raiders gained entry into the


grounds of Castle Cement, Clitheroe, and made off unseen with the metal, valued at £400, from a secure metal container by cutting off the padlock. The th e f t occurred some time


between 2 and 2-30 p.m. on Monday, December 10th.


Anyone who witnessed the crime or


has information about the stolen goods is urged to call police on 443344.
