TODAY marks the s ta r t of the Marie Curie Can cer Care Great Daffodil Appeal. The charity
aims to raise £5m. t h r o u g h o u t March. Whatever you do and wher
ever. you go, it is likely that you will spot someone wearing a daffodil pin badge. • You can also join volunteers across the
country who have teamed up with friends to do something memorable in organising their own fund-raising event. There are so
many ways you can take part in The Great Daffodil Appeal and the charity is now looking for people to sign up! By giving a cou
ple of hours of your time at home, at work, at school or in your local community, you will be helping Marie Curie Cancer Care to nurse more people with terminal cancer and helping it to raise its appeal target. Whatever you choose to do, please wear a
daffodil (available from your local Marie Curie Cancer Care shop and high street

Walk 2007 is the charity’s most challenging walk. At 26 miles, it covers the three peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Inglebor- ough and it takes place on Saturday July 7th. The start venue is Hor-
tdn-in-Ribblesdale, outside Settle in the Yorkshire Dales.
