the son of Dr and Mrs Geraint Jones, of Mel- lor, Blackburn. He married Miss Rachel Beaufort-Jones, daughter of the late Rev. Michael Beaufort-


Jones, and Mrs Noreen Beaufort-JoneSj of Carnforth. Given away by her brother, Mr Lawrence


Beaufort-Jones, the bride wore a white gown and carried a bouquet of vendella roses, lilies and orchids. She was attended by the bridegroom’s sister, Sarah Jones, as well as Julie White, Maggie


Elliot and Eileen Allen, who all wore grape- coloured satin dresses. Each carried a posy of


cream vendella roses. Best man was the bridegroom’s brother, Mr


William Jones. Groomsmen were Mr Matthew Dugdale, Mr


Richard Edmondson, Jonathan Beaufort- Jones and Stephen Beaufort-Jones.

Present, in Whalley Road, hopes to complete the 96-mile walk in seven days with his friend, Paul Thompson, raising as much as possible for the NSPCC. The Valley duo were due to set off
