SALESBURY pupils Joseph (11) and Ben Fourie (eight) present the Queen's Birthday sheep (G240606/4c)
SHEEP of all shapes and sizes were “ba-aaack” in Clitheroe this weekend for the Kibble
Valley SheepFest event. The popular two-day event -
which is now in its fourth year - saw hundreds of people flocking to the town to see the sheep dis played in streets, parks, the Castle grounds, shop windows, offices and homes. Not surprisingly, many exhibitors opted for a World Cup
theme. Ribble Valley SheepFest was organised by Mr Steve Rag- nail and Mr Charles Pearce, along with Force - Friends of Ribble Valley Arts and Community Entertainment. The annual event appeals to
both the young and old alike and during the past few weeks, school- children across the Ribble Valley were busy trying their hands at decorating their sheep for a dis play in the town’s Castle grounds.
Delighted with the success of
the weekend festival, Mr Ragnall said: “Everyone rallied round and ensured they displayed a sheep in their shop window or homes. “We are pleased with the num
ber of children that were involved in making the sheep. “We were particularly delighted
